Source: Milwaukee Journal SentinelJan.self storage 08--An expanding metal parts-maker located in the town of Port Washington is buying a Saukville facility, where it will relocate most of its operations.Oldenburg Metal Tech Inc. will be moving most of its 30 employees from 3850 County Road KW to a building at 775 N. Progress Drive, in Saukville Business Park, now used by Gen Mach Tooling Development Inc., owner Robert Oldenburg said Wednesday.On Thursday, Metal Tech will hire Gen Mach's final eight employees as that company closes its facility, Oldenburg said.Metal Tech plans to hire a total of around 15 full-time and two part-time employees within three years, according to a report from Ozaukee Economic Development. Those new hires will be paid $15 to $25 an hour, the report said.The Saukville Village Board this week approved a request from a Metal Tech affiliate, Oldenburg Properties LLC, for an $80,000 loan to help finance its $600,000 purchase of the 15,000-square-foot Gen Mach bu迷利倉lding.Financing for the building purchase includes a $395,000 loan from Port Washington State Bank, and a $70,000 Ozaukee County loan.Metal Tech makes machined parts for companies in the automotive, recreational vehicle, lawn and garden, medical and other industries. Its sales have grown almost 25% annually over each of the past three years, the report said.The company will be able to increase its customer base and provide value-added services, such as production stamping, by buying the Saukville facility, the report said.Meanwhile, Oldenburg said he will convert the 8,800-square-foot town of Port Washington building into a wire electric discharge machining operation -- creating a new division for Metal Tech.
